Weatherization Eligibility

Households who are at or below 50% of the state median imcome (Guidlines listed below) living within Lyon, Lincoln, Redwood, Cottonwood and Jackson counties.

 

All approved applicants, homeowners and renters who are income eligible and have been approved for the engery assistance are also eligible for weatherization. Homes that were weatherized after September 30, 1994 are not eligible.

 

Homes are weatherized according to priority household needs; elderly, disabled, high energy consumption and household with children under the age of nineteen.

You may be eligible for weatherization if your income exceeds the Energy Assistance Program limits. Weatherization is an energy efficiency program provided at no cost to you. Income eligibility for weatherization is 200% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines. Three-month income limits for Weatherization Assistance are listed to the right. For each additional
household member, add $1,910 to the three-month eligibility income.
