Community Transit Volunteers Needed
Volunteers make a huge difference in the lives of many people, young and old, by helping them get to jobs, medical appointments, pre-school, shopping, and other needed services. Each year the volunteer program provides nearly one million miles and over 25,000 hours in helping individuals and families stay connected and independent. That is why we need your help. Do you drive? Do you like people? Are you looking for something meaningful to do with your spare time? If so, please call us for more details.
Volunteer Drivers - Provide rides by using their own vehicle. Mileage is reimbursed and is not considered taxable income. As a volunteer, you can choose the days and destinations where you will drive. Some volunteers like to do longer distance trips and some like to drive locally.
Volunteer Rider Companions - Provide additional assistance to people who are frail or have disabilities and need extra assurance. Ride along in the car or bus, wait at the clinic or store, or just be there when no one else can.
