Western Community Action transit services are for everyone who needs a ride.
Our primary project area is for residents of Lyon, Redwood, and Jackson Counties and limited
service for residents of Cottonwood and Lincoln Counties. Public transit buses are lift
accessible and available only in certain communities. Volunteer Drivers operate their own
personal vehicles and they are available for trips within our primary area and to other
locations such as the Twin Cities, Rochester, Sioux Falls, SD, Willmar, Mankato and Worthington.
We will do what we can to provide you the ride or connect you to someone who may be able
to help you. Call our friendly dispatchers for ride information.

Trip Scheduling & Guidelines
- To assure ride availability, please give us adequate time to schedule your request. A
24 hours notice is preferred. Our office is closed on weekends and holidays, so plan ahead.
- Be specific about where you are going and how many stops you will need. The dispatchers will need completed addresses for all destinations. Unscheduled stops often require authorization from the dispatcher.
- Car seats are mandatory! Seats must be provided for all children up to age 4 when riding in a car.
- Please give us adequate time if you must cancel your ride or costs could be incurred.
- Our policy is after one "no show" or "late cancel," future rides may be suspended unless ride costs have been reimbursed.
