Circles of Support Outcomes 2004 - 2009

“Inspiring and encouraging prosperity for all people
by neighbor helping neighbor.”

Since the inception of Jackson and Windom Circles of Support, results have been seen in the actions of both participants and allies.  Here is a sample of the startling outcomes.

Highlighted Successes in two Circles of Support Communities:

  • Four people have competed their GED

  • Three people have received their driver’s license

  • Twelve people have enrolled in college

  • Five families have purchased a home

  • Seventeen people went to “professional trainings”

  • Six people have completed college

  • One person received a State award for self-sufficiency efforts

  • Eleven people have first time savings accounts

  • Twelve people have paid down their debt

  • Fifteen people registered to vote

  • Thirty people have participated in group meetings with legislators

  • Four families are re-united

  • Diverse friendships have occurred

  • Nine families report independence from MFIP (welfare)

  • Ten people have taken on facilitation roles

  • 60% increase in volunteerism

  • Seventeen people have board positions

  • Three people have elected positions

  • Twenty-four families report new jobs or promotions

  • Teachers report a positive change in students and families
